Hmm.. Hit me with a stick of butter, but I don't think your breakfasts look ED-ish at all.. maybe it's because she thinks you have the mix-ins 'on the side' as it were?

Good luck with the homework. We're doing Hamlet too at the mo - I love it. 'Oh that this too, too solid flesh would melt, thaw and resolve itself into a dew...' <-- Sounds like Hamlet had a bit of ED going on there ;-)

(I hope you don't mind that I'm replying via comment - it's like a little blog convo going on here... Methinks blogger should have some sort of IM thingy... Ooh plans!)

No! Not ED like at all - I mean, I could understand if you were say having... '1/2 an egg white, 1/2 tbsp bran flakes, 12 blueberries etc.' but it looks like a really decent hearty (and yummy!) bowl of oats to me! I love my oats in the morning.. Chai tea.. mmm.. Ahem. But yeah, I reckon from reading your lovely bloggy that there are other things to work on like carbs at dinner etc that seem I don't know.. more important?

Having said that I totally don't want to contradict your therapist AT ALL and at the end of the day she's the pro.. Just adding my 2 cents :) Or two pennies, since I'm a Brit.

Oui, I live in London - I love it but it's freaking freezing at the moment: -2*C and raining - how stereotypical! xxxx

I think your breakfast looks hearty and delicious! About the protein powder, here's why I use it: I think it helps keep my full a bit longer, I need more protein in my breakfasts, it sweetens the oats just enough!

Some breakfast suggestions: waffles with p.b., banana; yogurt mixed with whole banana, granola and p.b. (this one will really stick with you); breakfast cookies (combo of oats, protein powder, p.b., banana/pumpkin, whatever else you want in it). It's fun to mix it up too!

I think your breakfast sounds fine! Just because it's different than the poptarts a normal teenager would eat doesn't mean your RD has the right to tell you that ED is influencing your choices.

But yes, I can def. help in the oat department! I don't really have a system for picking toppings. I just think of things I like together, not on oats, and then put them on oats. So like pineapple and banana go together because they're tropical, then to take it to the next level you put on coconut and vanilla yogurt. Yum. Just experiment!

Ha. Have fun doing all that HW. Where's that senioritis of your's? Much love
