helpppp

oops after my omlette i had a babbyy apple with some fage & a litttlle bit o cereal. i'm sorry i wasss hungggry stil!

WARNING: CONFESSION.
okay. i have a severe phobia of carbs with my dinner such as rice (ehh, well i hate rice actually).. pasta, potatoes anything else though, i honestly just think, if i can eat SOMETHING else instead of that carb i will be more satisfied.

for instance, i normally have protein lotsaa veggies & then finish it off with fruit & yogurt or cottage cheese, or pb&j on a rice cake to take place of the carb i SHOULD've had.
my nutritionist calls this "compensation" and shes veryy angry with me for it :( and i love her so i don't want to anger her...

example, look below

large chicken breast with green beans, broc & red pepper
then i had popcorn to round it out... when i could've had something that makes more sense
i guess i just always want something sweet or salty or satisfying and am scared that if i eat the carb with my meal i will eat the sweet thing TOO
and then we ALLL KNOW that before bed i NEED to have popcorn so then i feel as if i'm overeating.

gah sorry for the vent

theres the popcorn

and i'll be having more later because i'm hooked.

but anyone have tips? i tend to PICK a lot around meals and can't stop and that's because i never know if i'm full or hungry because i eat so many veggies that expand my tummy tum.

pweeease heellp me
:(

I tend to do the same thing .. I don't even know why I feel like I can't have carbs at dinner? Maybe i always think I had enough throughout my day already? I dont know.. But i hear ya about the struggle.. we can move past this ! You are so strong!

I normally have dinners that are more vegetable based or protein, but always include at least a piece of wheat bread, English muffin, etc... What about croutons on your salads or a slice of bread? You could also make a dinner of a sweet potato and a vegetable *yum*

Just make small slow changes! You can do it!

ummmm. i cant really help with your evening meal issue really. i don't usually eat a carb with dinner because i always eat some porrrridge later in the evening :| otherwise i'm scared i'll get really hungry. but SOMETIMES i do have rice, e.g. on the meals i have blogged about, like if i have chili or a curry or something... maybs start with like making a stew and putting a lilll tiny bit of couscous or rice in with it? build up form there?
SORRY I AM PATHETIC!!!!!

running is something I started about a year ago. I did initially after I was able to finally come to a healthy weight. I wanted to strengthen my body and show myself I was healthy because I was able to carry my own body. I started with the couch25K plan on runners world website, alternating walking and running, soon I was able to do 3 miles daily with no effort. Then this past summer I moved to Chicago (instead of having summer break at home) and began running outside which was very diff from the tread. I love it more! I could see people and scenery and push myself however far I wanted. Now I can run miles and miles :)

I say try the Couch25K plan to get started :)

I used to have a huge problem with this when I was carb-phobic. But your body needs carbs at night, even if you've already had a lot during the day. They give you lots of energy for track or studying or whatever, and make you stay fuller. Plus, I don't know if this is true for everyone, but having a big bowl of pasta or bread is really comforting to me and makes my night a lot more enjoyable. Like Fay says, start out small with just a bit of carbs, and build it up from there.

And yeah, to learn how to make the puddings, click on the link I put in my post! Technology is amazing, right? Hope school went well today! Love you lots.

heya girlie
ok so i can completely relate to you and your carb fear at night...i was the exact same bulking my din dins with veggie..anything but what i considred heavy carbs. and then one night i decided screw it, no one else in the family gains 10000 stone for eating carbs at dinner and i wont either and although the first few times were hard i got used to the carbs at night and now love em :) try mayb having a small portion at first and then increasing to a normal size?? u can do it hun, remeber ed is jus trying to keep a hold of you by making carbs the enemy.

hope ur having a great night my love sorry this comment isnt any longer but im stuck in a crappy hotel in england trying to blog before dad comes back( we got stuck an extra night here die to snow ughh!!)

love you much girlie,

Maybe you could try incorporating smaller carbs and working your way up? Carbs are very important!! Or - you could get something like cinnamon raisin bread so you can have your sweet and get a carb in there?
